Mm Links February 2014 Week 4
40 Answers
Dear MM Linkers,
Well, this is my final week of setting my chosen link words. It’s been an interesting month – it made me realise how much goes into setting up this contest each week, and how much we owe to Gen2 each week for all the record keeping, and keeping the setters in order as we go along – thank you, Gen2!
It has been interesting, too, to see the words which you, the Linkers, have chosen – some of which didn’t occur to me when I was choosing the original words. You are an inventive lot, and I am always impressed with the options which you post!
Hopefully this week has seen most of us emerging from the rain and wind which have beset us for so many weeks. The ground water for some may not yet have gone away, but it has been a welcoming treat to see the blue sky and the sun for a while, and even to have some clear nights – particularly as the International Space Station flew over last weekend. (Is “flew” the correct expression? It just seems to glide past, brightly!)
I’m looking at the calendar, and spotting that Mother’s Day – or Mothering Sunday, as it always used to be called – is in March, after which we have Easter approaching fast. Both always bring thoughts of flowers, cards, and the colours in the flower borders as Spring settles in. My late mother always commented on the waves of colour which Mother Nature gives to us: first white, with the snowdrops, then yellow daffodils and crocuses, then pink blossom on fruit trees and clematis, before the blousy reds and purples of the tulips herald in the summer flowers. I wish you all a happy and joyous Springtime – it can’t be far away!

No best answer has yet been selected by boxtops. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I remind you that according to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow this rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each of the selected link words may go in front of, or behind my challenge word to make a new longer word or to make a well-known phrase or saying. The combination will never be a person's name.
The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when gen2 will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.
