Alba, thanks for this, but I found out for myself by the end of the summer, the fruit was inedible.
Appreciate the reposting though!

I've sprayed it this year, so am hoping for more success, if we get some sun of course.
I have just posted in this thread but it has disappeared into the ethos.

In essence, I said....I gave up many years ago cultivating Apples, Pears, etc (never tried Peaches because I knew they were temperamental) but I still have a Fig tree although its fruit never really ripens. I now leave it to the professionals and buy their produce from Supermarket shelves.
