Fig Tree

Just bought a fig tree (well its a twig but you know what i mean) from morrisons for £2
I have popped it on a large container and given it a nice drink of water
I've put it in a nice sunny spot (well not today) and its in between two others so that should give it a little protection
Hope it's alright

Sounds good to me Rick. I had one years ago, and it was really nice.
Good colour and very healthy leaves. i had it for yonks, and it grew very well.

I did have a tiny fig tree.........until my husband it needed "pruning" , down to two inches. It died.!! But yours sound like it will have a good life as long as you do not let your husband anywhere near it.!

It might do better in a small container, Ric.ror. as the RHS recommend restricting root growth:

Sounds good Ric.ror,
I had a small fig for about 4 years in a pot, unfortunately one year I forgot to 'Fleece' it over a bad winter and it never came back to life :-(
I shall look out for one in morrisons now though, cheers :-)
