Petrol/electric Tree Lopper

Hi Gardeners, is there such a thing as a petrol/mains tree lopper, hubby has a shoulder complaint and can't use a manual one, we don't need a saw attachment as the branches are more twig than branch, but very high up. Thanks

You aren't going to find a petrol gadget to do this job other than a chainsaw of alligator saw which both require you to be very close to what you're cutting.

The reason they are 'saws' rather than compression cutters is due to the fact that you'd burn them out trying to lop through stuff too heavy duty for the equipment.

Also to deliver that sort of pressure to cut a branch that is 1" thick you'd have to have a very heavy motor on the end of it. Not really ideal if you've got it 2 metres above your head (it's going to be heavy).
