Hi all who have been with me on this one... I have today had a look at the bark of a Cordyline and a Yucca.... it appears we do indeed have a cordyline here after all.... so I will post my question for that..lol
Right a ten foot or more Cordyline....with a lot of side shoots coming off all about four foot long roughly....with one central bark.... Can I cut down the main stem/bark to a much lower height....and cut off the side stems to replant.?? Many thanks for staying with me.

Hi Lilacben,
I've been following your thread from the outset and I'm glad you have concluded that it is indeed a Yucca.

To be honest, I don't think them 4ft side shoots will be suitable material for cuttings.

As I said before, the main stem should sprout randomly, but wait till thre is no more frost on the cards.

Good luck.....Chip.
Chipchopper....It a cordyline not a yucca.!!
yes..but wait 'till frosts are finished..
You're right SirOricle. I typed the wrong plant in. Apologies! :)
