I've just propagated some morning glory and it took about 10 days. It only took 1 day for the 'king slugs to find them :-(
It would depend where you're sowing the seeds.....they would be infinitely quicker in a propagator with bottom heat as opposed to sown in the ground where they are to flower.
I sowed Agastache 'apricot sprite' a few years ago with some bottom heat and they came up in about 5 days
Hi Hollytree,
Just had a quick look at the 1/2 empty seed packet that I got free with a magazine.
It says: "sow indoors, a warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. sow 1/4" deep in trays of compost, water well and place in a warm position. a temperature of 15 - 20.oc is ideal. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days" Thats the story for morning glory :-)
I used to soak my seeds for 24 hrs in a glass of water before planting. Does help. Don't soak for too long as they're prone to rotting.
