Any Idea What This Is ?

I'm 99.999% sure it's a weed that I'll have to get rid of, but I do know that clearing other parts of the garden gave a new lease of life to plants I reckon a previous owner had planted. My issue is I couldn't tell a plant from a worthless weed, really. (Truth be known I could post other images but this for now.)

I tried the Google reverse image search, but as usual it seemed very USA oriented and said it was an eastern USA American Red Gum which, since I'm not in the USA, I've my doubts about that.

A sunflower, some bird has dropped a seed. Hope it survives long enough to bloom for you

It certainly looks like a sunflower. The image is very similar to that which I have found on the Internet and is a photograph of a young sunflower plant.
