Signs Of Spring

Signs of spring in the wildlife garden today.
Snowdrops in bloom and daffs in bud.
It was very pleasant, once the sun came up and thawed the frost.

Got quite a few things coming up. Particularly pleased to see all the garlic shoots.

The crocuses are up on my front lawn. That's the cue for the binmen to thrown the recycling boxes on top of them and flatten the lot.

The flowering cherry in our previous house is in bloom.

Even up here in the frozen north the green shoots of recovery are evident.

The primroses are out in my garden which is way too early. Shame really as we will have to have a bitter cold snap at some point and it seems to have started this weekend. Due to be -4 tonight.

The daffodils are in bloom in my local park. A sea of yellow amongst the bare trees and muddy, puddly pathways.

The dafs have been appearing since before Christmas here in Plymouth, and I saw a young tree in blossom the other day. Sorry, I do not know what it was.
It's currently 4°, down to 0° overnight.

We're the same as you Chipchopper. Plenty of snowdrops and wonderful signs of spring with bulbs beginning to shoot and buds just forming in the Magnolia. The brussel sprouts and purple sprouting are still going strong though and looking crisp in the early morning frosts this week.

probably winter cherry pasta, white to pale pink single flowers. My mimosa is just about to flower and the garden hyacinths are ahead of the daffs this year

The daffs are nearly there. Delphinium is putting on a major spurt. But I think we're due a cold spell so that'll muck things up.
