Outside Tap

Problem with outside tap, when I turned it on the head of the tap flew off. Caused a beautiful water display until isolated tap!
Not the most popular person in my household as it was at 10 .30 at night.
Tap had been leaking a little when turned on from round spindle and gland, especially when hose pipe was used.
Also very difficult to turn handle on/off
New tap needed or repairable?

Probably needs a new gland, you can get one from Wilko's or such like. Or just replace the tap with a new one.

Just replaced my outside tap with this one from Amazon - as you can see it has 2 outlets. Find it very handy.
