I have lived in my home for 3 years now and right from the off we have been plagued with ladybirds. No matter what the weather, hot or cold, there is always dozens of ladybirds in every room. I cannot see where they are coming from and they fly around. The ladybirds are the red ones with no markings on their body. Apart from excessive use of the fly spray, how can I get rid of these pesky little things???????
I too really hope it is not this. Mind you we got new carpets when we moved in and it is the same carpet throughout the house. The 'ladybirds' are mostly in the bedrooms, hallways and my two living rooms. They're on the windows, curtains and the light fittings mostly. And they are there no matter the weather. I really thought the cold would kill them off!
I just don't know where to start looking, but this coming weekend it will be all hands to the pump and move every item of furniture.
Ethel, I if knew how to get a picture on here I would. I am not very computer wise, but believe you me they look like ladybirds
quite small and round. I have looked at some more and some do have markings of black dots. Also they seem to have, how can I put this, a wing sticking out of the back. It is a black wing but only one. My son claims to have been bitten by them!
I believe they are a mutant form of ladybird.
