Daffodils and tulips

My questions are as follows:

1) I usually leave my daffs in the ground from one season to the next, but this year I have lifted them and dried them. What is now the best thing to do with them? I don't have a greenhouse; I do have a garage and a very old damp stone-built shed.

2) I have never had much luck with tulips but keep trying each year. This year some lovely crimson parrot shaped tulips flowered but none of the regular tulips produced anything other than leaves! This is usual in my garden, but what is wrong? Thank you in advance, cos I know one of you will know!

it is a bit early to have lifted daffs already but you may be ok as the season is early this year. Leave the stems on and hang them in a cool, dark, dry place such as a garage until they are completely dry. Then you can remove the dried shoots and store them in a paper bag (not plastic) in a cool, dry, dark place until the autumn.

l found this method works get sum plant pots all the same size plant your bulbs daffs near the bottom croucus or
snowdrops .use an empty pot to make a hole in the garden
pack the soil tight around the pot remove pot put the pot with the bulbs in the hole , when your bulbs have done
pull the pot out and replace it with another pot with summer bedding plants ,when your daff tops have died off lay your pots on thier sides up against a wall ,shed under shrubs,
when the summer bedding have done change the pots again give a good liqued feed and we start all over again
