yes i have when i was younger, it swelled up like a big yellow/white balloon!!! i didnt feel bad at the time but thinking about it now, what did the poor slug ever do to me???

No, I use slug pellets, the new modern ones from Homebase, they don't kill the slug but put it in such a bad mood that it goes home.

The best slugs are the ones that fit into air rifles and can be used to hit the branches of trees just next to where magpies are sitting and croaking.

Not slugs, but snails, I used to work as a gardener.
One of our customers used to kill snails by dropping them in a bucket of beer.
