Strawberries

This is their third year and I have lots of fruit already but they don't seem to be putting out any runners this year for me to pot on .They are not in the ground but in a strawberry pot and various other containers .Are they past their sell by date and shall I chuck them once finished fruiting and get new for next year ? I have had a few ripe fruits already and they taste OK !

lol vinny, we bought a slim one a couple of years ago because our aged poorly sighted Hannah weimaraner used to bump into the big one, I think this year the only way we'd get away with having one in th living room would be to hang it from the ceiling...apparently its quite chic

Have actually been to Urgencias (which i think is A&E or Casualty or whatever) as my inner elbow look and felt like a bone was sticking out - yes, I know there's no bone there. Anyway, got yet another injection in my bum and told to put a cold compress (frozen peas?)on it every 2hrs, it's a reaction or summat.

Sorry Robi for shouting, but right now, I feel like doing so, but with regards to your feelings, I'll keep quiet! x

Hi All I've just been for a walk with my sister and it's freezing out. I had my big coat on and a scarf tied round my head and I looked a really old Bid but we kept warm. Since her husband passed on we go quite a lot for walks which must be healthy.

Robi I'm happy for you that your brother's funeral went well, I know that sounds an odd thing to say but I remember my Mum's funeral and how well that went. She used to play the piano for The Polish Club Choir (20 years or more) and they all came and sang which was a lovely tribute. Mind you they sang in Polish and I didn't understand a word but the music was lovely!!
Anyway I'm pleased you're back with us and making me smile again.

(Didn't mean to evict us, it's the Christmas thread I have in mind: the sooner we leave these Strawberry Fields the sooner we'll be done in Africa and the greater the chance that we'll be having a White Christmas and the Spanish one will stop whining about the sun!)
