when is it time to prune back (heavily) my white jasmine bush? it is about 20 years old and quite wild.

I have a yellow one in full bloom at present (no smell)! I cut it hard back in spring when the weather is comfortable for me. Cuttings root easily - you can start a garden centre on them!
