Ashford would be a place to cross with the name of a tree in it but I don't see where crazy people fit in? Poplerford (anagram of people) would be better but Google can't find a place called that
Have you solved any of the others or shll I keep going?!
No please keep going - thanks
I have Ashford for one of the others - if it were in Derbyshire it would be wet.
They are supposed to follow a route up country if that helps and I have typed them in that order apart from horrible vice which is in the wrong place.
So colour of gin berry for example is between Melsrose and Helmsdale
Youre a star!
I confess to looking up Poplar in the atlas - typical of a doubting woman!
So now its just the bothered player which I thought was an anagram but couldnt decide of what. Its between Oakham and Mount Sorrel in the answers if that helps.
I should tell you that I have a huge passage left to do with 46 items of botanical interest hidden and I have only got 40 so will have to work on that if I am going to send it in.
Do you know the site http://www.quizzing.co.uk/
There are some good brains on there! Sign up and click on the Forums section. If this is a prize quiz, there's a forum for that or Ask the Experts if it isn't. They won't give you direct answers, but good hints.
You've probably lost interest now Patch but the one I didnt have is Barleythorpe.
I got that off the other site you mentioned. I did know about it but had put them in wrong section and got a telling off - lol so hadnt been back.
Now I just need to find the running through things.
Thanks for all your help. If you do read this is there an easy way for me to get back to my question without having to search through
Glad quizzing sorted you out - I should have got Barleythorpe!
If you want to get back to this question, just remember what it's called ie Still Those Place Names. Then pretend you're going to post a new question in Quizzes with the same title - just put xx or something in the text bit underneath. Press submit. Then it will ask you to check a list of similar questions to see if yours has already been asked, and you'll find your original there.
Not sure if this is the best way, but it works for me!
Thats how I was doing it but just wondered if there was a quicker way.
Still can only find 41 of the stupid running through things but feel good that with a lot of help I have done the rest of the quiz. I am also doing the rainbow quiz for the first time but that is far too hard for me. I will submit it so I can get on their wavelength more.
