Since the leaves of the vine are so big, they respirate a lot of moisture so th vine needs lots of watering. Standard fertilizer will work and after the vine matures, you shouldn't have much problem with weeds, since no sunlight penetrates the canopy.
If our results here in the U.S. are standard you should expect a havest of about 20 or so squash per vine planted.
Good luck!

They like a sunny spot, well manured ground, LOTS of space and regular watering. . Let them creep along the ground. When the fruits begin to form, put a little straw under them so that slugs and other bugs don't damage the fruit. Be prepared for them to trail at least six feet in one or more directions. and swamp every other plant nearby. I've grown them in the past but with limited space available for growing vegetables I find it better use of space to grow other more expensive vegetables and buy my winter squashes from a farm shop.
