Where have I seen this drawing?

We all know that a picture is worth a thousand words, but will try my best to describe this one.

I know I have seen a picture of Death on a ship after having killed most of the crew, who is then stopped by seeing Beauty in a partial state of undress on this stricken vessel. I do not know which book I have seen this in, but know for a fact it is a pen and ink drawing; not in colour. Beauty is staring Death in the face, and not dying.

I know this is not much to go on, but it has been driving me nuts for years. Anyone who has seen it will know what I mean. Where can I see it again?

This obviously isn't the picture you're looking for - and it's an engraving, not a drawing - but your description makes me think of Gustave Dore's illustrations to Coleridge's *The Rime of the Ancient Mariner*.

They're very distinctive. If the style looks right to you, you could try searching out the rest of the set.

There's also a set by Mervyn Peake, but I don't think any of his resemble your recollection.
