Fruit for a trellis

I have a trellis panel attached to a sunny wall and am looking for a plant to grow up it which will produce edible fruit (not blackberry as I already have two).

The top of the trellis is about 250 cm from the ground and the panel is 60 cm wide (but with space available either side).

The soil is clay but could easily be dug out and improved.

All suggestions welcome!

There are some increasingly winter hardy varieties of apricot and nectarine now available which are suitable for growing in sunny situations in this country although you might have to prepare a fleece "blind" to pull over them in spring when they're in blossom if a frost is forecast. They will start fruiting after 2 years. The other option is Kiwi Fruit but in this country I believe the only hardy self fertile one is called Jennie? If you Google "growing Apricots, Growing Kiwi Fruit, etc. you'll probably get more details of growing needs and suppliers.
