i have just been given two gloxiunia plants and want to look after them properly. Any tried and tested tips appreciated.

Stand pot on colourful pebbles and keep a small amount of water in the tray to provide a moist atmosphere, and spray at least twice a day in hot weather with a fine spray of water. Keep in a bright but not in direct sunlight at a temp 65-70 deg.

feed with the special food for african violets if you can get it

don't overwater, they are fleshy plants and can rot off in wet conditions
