My creeping rosemary, rock rose, phormium and potted bay have all suffered. Will they revive in spring?

We also have had a fair amount of salt damage to shrubs adjacent to paths, where we have not had probelms before. Probably due to the sheer amount of salt now in the ground.
All seems a bit petty when I look over to the carnage in Japan tho, doesnt it!?

I've lost...four cordylines, one huge ceanothus, and possibly a few other bits.... I have cut the palms to the ground as I've had them reshoot from the base in the past so giving them a chance... the ceanothus had a lovely gnarly trunk so will be trimmed back to that and I will pur a clematis over it... a dead plant is an opportunity to try something new
My ceanothus died last year, rowan - started to sprout then just died. We grew a climber up the stump last year - I can't cut it down entirely because the cats like to climb in it.
This year we lost a fuschia and two oleanders, and a short palm - but amazingly, the kiwi plant which I covered in bubblewrap appears to be sprouting when I peek underneath. Our red camellia is just coming out, it looks wonderful.
