The general idea is to keep the room as warm as possible. This reduces the 'cold spots' and gives the fan chance to remove the moisture laden air before it has chance to condense. Sounds daft, I know, turn up the heating and then turn on a fan, but it should help.
There is also anti-fungicidal paints specifically designed for these situations. It helps resist the mould but if any should form it can easily br removed with a damp cloth. My bathroom ceiling was painted with this stuff six years ago and I have had no re-occurrence of the mildew problem.
