Club Toilet attendants

Does anybody else thing there is something so wrong when you see toilet attendants, selling a spray of perfume, sweets etc?

The majority of the toilet attendants I see are black and usually getting the pee taken out of them too. I feel so sorry for them when I see them, I just feel they ar being taken advantage of. I know its their choice but just seems like old times when white people had servants to me.

Would love to know what other people think?

Now popping out to shop I will see how far hispost has got without an argument when I get back

I have never seen a toilet attendant doing anything else but making sure the toilets are in order - I wouldn't want to buy sweets that had been stored in a toilet area, anyway :-(

I've only ever seen a toilet assistant once (besides the bus station)

Should they be selling stuff in the toilets ?
Is it for personal gain or on behalf of the club ?

If it was my club and my employees were selling stuff in the toilets , I would fire them. The products are verified by me , but being sold in my club and thus I would get the come back.

You sure the bags of white powder and pink love hearts were in fact sweets ?

It's been a long time since I have been in a club (disco) ...80's to late 90's

They are usually only in night clubs late at night but I do know what you mean. You've got to wonder how desperate people must be to earn money (which must amount to hardly anything) when they end up doing that job. And you are right, it usually is a certain type of person you see doing the job.

On the other hand they probably see and hear some funny things too.

yes the club owners know they are there. Dont know if they are paid or just take the money from selling things. I see them all the time, sell chewing gum, sprays of deodrant too

I guess they also stop people hanging about the toilets doing coke etc. So they help in that respect.

They don't have them down here, 4getmnot. Either we are poor down here (which is true economically), missing an economic opportunity to soak up a little of the unemployment or your neck of the woods is twenty years behind the times - which knowing where you are....(lol!)

they are in alot of clubs around the country. Usually ones that open early hours. I see more in the R n B type clubs. They must have them elsewhere, cheryl 'tweedy' punched one and I bet she's never been to Norfolk lol

I've seen them in clubs, the ones I've been in don't sell the stuff though, you can just use them all for free.

I used to see them a lot more often than I do now, not seen one for quite a while now.
