Thinking about relaying a kitchen floor with this expensive but quality flooring material. Buying the flooring on line is mega cheaper than going through a recognised flooring warehouse. Has anyone had this type of flooring laid by a tradesman not connected with a Karndean supplier? Not really bothered about warranty is the price is right.

Check all the online costs - last time I looked, the displayed prices looked low but when you ordered your yardage and delivery, it was no real difference to the high street.
It's quite normal to buy your own materials from where you like, then look for a floor laying specialist to lay it for you.
That's the way I would do it.
I bought and laid this material on an entrance hall probably more than 20 years ago. I found it easy to lay, just a bit of care required using the correct adhesive. It still looks very good and quite a few people have mistaken it for natural wood even after probably the most demanding traffic in the whole house.
