Kitchen Flooring

Has anyone on here had their kitchen floor changed from a tiled floor to vinyl. I have a dishwasher that will not come out unless I get the flooring up, the legs will not drop, so I need someone to come along get all the tiles up, flatten the floor and skim, etc., so that I can get the dishwasher out and put a shorter height one in. Years ago I had the kitchen redone, turns out they have put the work tops too short, just under 86 inches and then tiled in front of them. I know I could live without a dishwasher but I thought I would just ask if anyone had done this. Thanks.

Wish I could, granite going all the way along with hob attached and tiled above. Think I am stuck with it, but just wondered.

In whicH case I'd not risk it; but I was visualising the back staying put and the front pushed up just enough to get the dishwasher out.

The trouble is that if you start removing the tiles in front of the dishwasher it'd be difficult to make good again. And if you change the whole floor, as you seem to be suggesting, that's a big undertaking. Especially skimming the floor outside the unit positions.

Wishful thinking that the dishwasher can be dismantled in situ I suppose. Does it have a removable top ? Can the feet be broken off ? Clutching at straws here, I know.

Thanks very much appreciate the comments, think I am stuck with it, as there is no way to dismantle. Guess it is back to washing by hand when it breaks down, it is 12 years old now, otherwise I would be back to the Kitchen Company complaining, as they knew full well that I was tiling in front of it and should have allowed for this. I may not use it again, as if it goes wrong it may be a problem. It is a Neff machine and has only been used once or twice a week, as I am on my own now. Managed without one for years, guess we are spoilt these days with modern day appliances

You probably only have to remove a few tiles just in front of the D/W. Then you can tilt it back and drag it out.

Of course the problem then is finding some replacement tiles to go back.

Yes I had thought of that one, trouble is there is hardly any room above it and all the tiles in front will have to be removed for it to be slid out. Sadly no replacement tiles, so would have to make a feature or something where the tiles were. Why these kitchen companies do not have the sense to advise you on tiling the floor with fitted machines I will never know. Also, of course, someone has put the height of the work tops far too low. I spent quite a bit on the kitchen last time and if I ever have the money to replace the kitchen again, I would never use them.
