I've had a big clothes shop today......you know when you go to look for a black tee shirt and come home with everything but....

Two of the unlined floaty jackets I bought are full of static......and I want them to float....not cling to the bits I'm covering up so has anyone tried any of the anti static sprays that are available and can recommend one please?

Thanks, Gx

Cheap tat?;-)
Just hang an earthing chain from your knickers
They're usually round her ankles, Rowan;-)
Question Author
I tried that, Rowan but Dave kept stepping on the chain then everyone saw the knickers..... :-(
Since when has that been a reason, they normally see them when you fall over
Question Author
Poppycock! I know how to fall over with decorum...... :-)
You'll be the new GC haha
Question Author
Oh god forbid, Ducksie....... :-(
You could give them a delicate wash with fabric conditioner. That might do the trick. Also, make sure the garment you are wearing them with doesn't have any static.
hahaha that would be a sight, I might even get my mobile phone working in time to get the pic ;)
Question Author
I did wonder about that, Margaret......they do say a gentle hand wash. They were a bit pricey so I did want to wear them before I destroyed them by washing but I may give that a try...thank you...x
google recommends spraying with hair spray ...
Question Author
From what I've seen of you with your phone, Ducksie I'd have to be repeating the fall a few times.....but for you I'd even smile for the camera........ ;-)
I'd bring them back - serious answer G

You're gonna have terrible trouble with them sticking to you all the time, that would drive me nuts
Question Author
Really, Ael....thank you......I do use hairspray to remove ink stains so I'll try that on one jacket tonight and see what happens.....it won't stiffen it so I can't bend my Guinness lifting arm will it?..x
Question Author
Well I'm hoping to de static them, Ducksie so they no longer cling.........they are gorgeous and the shop was doing a generous discount for regular customers today.....which is why I bought two.....well four but only two are sparking....x
they seen you coming ;)
Question Author
No they, Ducksie....just a larger than life very eccentric lady who has a one off shop......she buys in things that are different which suits me very well. I think this is more of a hobby for her rather than a business but as long as she keeps hobbying I'm happy.... :-)
Ah well done that lady, and good on you supporting local (thumbs up)
Question Author
Thank you for the banter, Rowan and Ducksie......doesn't stop the sparks but isn't it fun......x

Margaret and Ael.....I will give your suggestions a try...thanks both..x
