Tiled Kitchen Floor
4 Answers
I have a kitchen floor that has the original 1950s ceramic tiles, but they have been covered up for years by a few layers of lino. Does anyone recommend from experience a way of cleaning off the residue from the lino glue from the tiles?

Whatever you use, give it a little time to work in, and then scrape away what you can before applying some more.
WD40 might also be useful for breaking down the gunk. If fact, there used to be a product called Gunk, which was for cleaning greasy engine parts I have no idea if its still available but that could also be what you need. Ask at a car parts supplier.
Cleaning a tile floor isn’t very difficult. As your regular tile cleaning, take a damp mop and simply wash off the surface of your tile.To remove stains on the actual tile, you will want to use a nylon scrubbing pad and chlorine-free household cleaner. Place the cleaner directly on the stain and wait at least 30 seconds so the cleaner can dampen the stain. In a circular motion, scrub the stain out of the tile.
