My Heating wont work
10 Answers
HI there, I have a new baby at home and for the first time in 7 months felt the need to turn on the gas heating - except it didnt work!. Its a Maxol microturbo402 boiler, (which I have been unable to find anywhere in the net). The odd thing is that we have plenty of piping hot water through the taps and shower, yet nothing happens when the heating is selected. Its a new system, (Only 14 months old), and I have even tried bleeding the radiators to see if there was an air lock, but all was ok. I did notice that none of the lights are on on the boiler itself (in the kitchen), but dont see a fuse having been tripped or anything. The tanks in the cupboard are warm and all light up, so am at a loss as to what to do. I'm sure it must be something simple, can anyone help!

One of the entries on that website says:
"I have a manual here covering the 502 microturbo which is one I have yet to scan."

From that same website - it gives you this link to download the manual in PDF - this is what it says.
Turns out that Maxol were gobbled up by Burco, who have this relic MicroTurbo sales brochure still lurking on their website http://www.burcodean.com/_media/documents/pdf/ instruction-booklets/microturbo402 -502.pdf

Thanks for the responses.
No, I havent gotten it fixed yet, and have moved back in with my parents meantime. I tried to enrol in British Gas' Homecare scheme to see if they would cover it under their maintenance cover, but they didnt turn up!. I also doubt if they would have fixed it for free in advance of taking it on anyway..:-(
I did a bit of investigation anyway, and it seems that there is no power getting to the boiler. The spur fuse is fine, as are all the mains fuses, so by deduction and looking at the info given I am presuming it is a fuse on the circuit board, and I have no clue as to how to fix that or what amperage it would be. (Assuming I can even find somewhere to buy one)
Ideas are more than welcome....

Prime - Could you Post on one of those links from my earlier information to ask if anyone could tell you how to fix it and/or Post a new question on AB asking the specific question if "it is a fuse on the circuit board, and I have no clue as to how to fix that or what amperage it would be" what to do? Another option might be to find a bartering website and offer your services in return for the repair.
I looked att the manual on the link
http://www.burcodean.com/_media/documents/pdf/ instruction-booklets/microturbo402-502.pdf
but it doesnt really help me. If there is an internal fuse on a circuit board I dont really want to start messing with it until I know thats where the problem lies. So I will also post a direct question to see if that gets a response.
Thanks
