what colour goes with terracotta

Hi, I have just bought an apartment at the Red Sea Egypt, and the sofa that has been delivered is a rather orangey terracotta colour. ! All walls are white. rug is a similar colour, could anybody give me any ideas on colours that will go with this and help to calm and cool it down., the curtains are cream , I really want to lighten it up but with a more modern feel than cream. Wont be painting the walls but thinking about colour for pictures, cushions etc Any help would be brilliant. !

My lounge suite is leather and the same colour that you have just bought.
I have taupe carpets, coffee coloured carpets and all other soft furnishings are in cream, coffee and chocolate brown. You are probably not laying carpets if you are in Egypt. The colour schemes that I have, as also suggested by previous aber work well.
