late reply, but we have had a top of the range model for three years and it was washing the conditioner away at the start. the other day we found the instruction book. we should have been pressing a "conditioner hold "button. if your conditioner is still there than either there is a fault or you are not programming properly the same as us. ring up the manufacturers and ask them, usually very keen to help.
