Freezer trouble

My freezer has stopped working. It won't freeze anymore, but it sounds like it is trying to freeze, because it switches itself on, but then stops again. Do you think this may be a thermostat problem. Thank you. 8-)

Unsure I can help you but last year a fan device at the back of our combined fridge/freezer got jammed out with ice and wouldn't move which affected the temperatures in both fridge and freezer.. If this is the case you may need to call an engineer out. unles you can access this yourself to check.
