is that a relaxing colour scheme?
What shade of green were you thinking?
Yep they do - I have a colour chart beside me and they are contrasting colours
If you room is the size of a tennis court, you might get away with it.

If not ... you might get a bit of a "dungeon" effect.

I have bright pink at the moment lol. Got some time off work coming up, want something a bit more sophisticated, i do tend to go for garish though, is that not relaxing?
Question Author
Any green, I do really like green but already have some in my living room and kitchen.
it's not my idea of relaxing but hey.. it's your room :o)
Dark purple with an olive green

What colours do you think are good for a bedroom, am looking for inspiration here... anyone know of any good sites where I can get ideas?
Dark purple with pale yellow either
Purple and Green can be a very striking combo in jewel tones.

Purple is the colour of royalty and is very spiritual. Green can be very dynamic or even nurturing, depending on the shade.

Purple looks stunning with Beige which is making a big comeback right now.
Question Author
Hmmm, beige sounds good and olive green. I just dont know!! Everything I have is pink, carpet, curtains, everything, will be a complete overhaul so want to get it right. I just cant decide :s
NO.

lol
If we are talking Eggplant purple, it would work well with shades of wheat and light sage for a really classic earthy look.

If it is a bold, bright purple it would look striking combined with a lighter "frosted" green.
Question Author
How about purple, silver and black?
Yes, purple works very well with silver and/or black.

Are you looking to paint all over or wallpaper and paint?

There are some gorgeous damask wallpapers on the market right now, and the silver/black ones are stunning. You could try wallpapering the wall behind the bed and painting the rest of the walls.
Question Author
I might just do that actually, I have done that in my living room and love it. It's great because you only have to do one wall so can spend a bit more on some really nice paper. So, a black and silver wall paper, then paint maybe a lilac colour for the rest of the walls, and silver, black and different shades of purple accessories? You guys really are helping, I have been thinking about this for ages!
With purple being such a regal colour, it would be apt to go for a very flamboyant wallpaper. Something like this for example:

Or something like this wallpaper in different shades of black...
