Hi I have a silver table centre which is lovely but quite thin. My husband (bless him) managed to snap off a bracket on the side of the vase which holds a smaller vase . Has anyone any idea how I can fix this please? I have tried superglue but it didnt work.

Take it to a silversmith and ask them to fix it - if it's real silver, it's not good to fix it with superglue. (This was one of my mother's failings - whatever broke, out came the Araldite!)
It needs professional work - shouldnt be too expensive - give it to your hub to pay up....may as well get it polished too (not too heavy if it is thin)

I did ask 2 different jewellers and they quoted £50 and £55 Husband will pay but it seems a lot and I wondered if there was an alternative
It doesn't sound a lot to me if they are repairing it with precious metal. Have you got accidental damage cover on your contents insurance? You might be able to claim.
