Garage wall

When we moved into our new house we found that one of the walls of our garage adjacent to next doors garage hadn't been rendered to stop the water penetrating the blockwork.
There is only a 14" gap between the two walls so unless I get a very thin plasterer to render it, is there an alternative to render ie. sand/cement with waterproofer in it ?
Am not going to use thomnpsons water seal so please dont suggest it.

You've only just bought the house? Did the surveyor flag this up as an area of concern? If they did, they should have made a suggestion as to what to do about it or you could ask them what, if anything, needs to be done.

How much water are you getting down a 14 inch gap between two buildings?

some of these exterior paint coatings Sandtex springs to mind are very good maybe able to spray on HTH Tez

There is a product called Synthaprufe which should do the job. I work with structural engineers and they frequently specify it in the construction details. If you google it on the internet you will find it easily, also a local supplier.

Problem with it is that is a concrete block wall so that any solution applied ie. paint water seal will not get into every nook and cranny
