Smoking
106 Answers
As we are both non-smokers,and lived in our house for over sixty years is there any new law to help us with our neighbours who smoke but only smoke in the garden next to their fence which is about three feet away from our patio doors,so when thesun is out we have our patio door open and then find we can smell smoke in our garden which drifts into our front room.
I have had a word with the lady next door to ask them if they could go down to the bottom of the garden to smoke but all they have done is to pull there table to nearer their patio door and still smoke,we can still smell the smoke.
What if anything can I do,I have done them a few favours in the past ,all I ask is one favour ?????

I spend the entire year (not just summer) huddling outside away from non smokers, I never smoke behind people in queues and always make sure I'm well away from anyone at bus stops etc... before lighting up. It pees me off something chronic when non smokers start whinging because suddenly a bit of sun is out and they want to sit outside smoke free, I was sitting outside in minus degrees with a gale force wind and now you want my seat?! I believe the words 'Eff right off' are appropriate on this occasion.
Your neighbours are outside enjoying their garden, close your patio door or put seats at the end of your own damn garden.
Sorry.... But non smokers whinging about smokers who are actually smoking outside away from others gets on my wick,

I do hope that those of you who still have attachments to other publishments on this network are aware that the hilarity of this thread, which I have enjoyed this evening, might seriously endanger the usual Saturday MOFC, which now seems tame in comparison. Her Ladyship will be less than amused, although I content myself with the thought that I am such an insignificant peasant and so far beneath her nose, that I might safely escape before an unfortunate scapegoat is hanged from the nearest tree.
