Outside of my gate on the roadside there is about 5 metres by 1 metre needing to be planted (once i've weeded). It's NW facing with a high wall behind. Anybody got any ideas for low maintenance as so much other things to do. I was thinking of some low shrubs such as fuschias but might need something to brighten them up.

is the ground always wet?
Question Author
No, pond. it's quite dry really as the wall shelters it.
do you want annuals or perrenials?
sorry about sticky keyboard - for 1 year or for ever?

That's a good idea treetops as they would brighten up the fuschias. Perennials TonyV as annuals take up too much time and weeding and watering. Don't mind for my garden but not outside.
