Hi tinks. I have a problem with my neighbour too but for different reasons. He's a religous fanatic and used to sing hymns very loudly whilst playing an electric organ. I had words with him about it soon after we moved in last year and he was quite good after that. Think he got rid of the organ and just used to sing quietly.. Just recently though, with the nice weather, he's been singing really loudly with his patio door open and today had friends around who joined in too. It sounded like someone was strangling a cat! I am going to start making a note of times and how loud he is as I am not going to put up with it all through the summer. Will have to have a word with our Scheme Manager if it continues.
Aww jeeze oh jan!! (literally) no use as u say keep a diary! Just wondering why the parents arent going out and keeping them
In line!! Grrr!! You shouldnt have to put up with it!! X
We have had continuous football in next door's garden for 3 days now - its their grandchildren and also grownups. Why they can't go down the fluffing park, which is literally minutes away, is beyond me.
I mean, they are not toddlers kicking the ball, so with the power behind it, all you hear is loud thuds thuds thuds and then wallop when the fence gets hit.
I am listening to the thump of a football in the street now and it is dark! The little dears are playing by the light of the moon and the street lamps. Of course it is against the law to play football in the street, but I haven't got the heart to complain to the police. They are back to school tomorrow so a bit of peace and quiet until they come home. Actually I love them all.- sort of and how can I be cross with them when they all call me grandma? I certainly would not be without them.only sometimes.
I don't know what you are moaning about. When I wrote my university essays I had to open a bottle of Quink and fill my fountain pen. A good suck at the start would see me through ten sides.
How about the hymns Star? Could you cope with them. I know everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but he really does sing loudly. I can't hear my own tv over them and have to turn it up.
Our children are relatively quiet but they are 'allowed' to make a noise between 9 and 7 - though I don't know why I bother when next door's dogs are barking from I don't know what time and the other side are offing and blinding at each other till late!
It seems some people just don't care about their neighbours these days. I intend to give my neighbour a taste of his own medicine if he doesn't turn the volume down and play loud rock music every time he starts singing. I've got quite wound up about it today.
