Try one of the intense shampoos that remove build up like wella system professional, or similar. They can only be used a couple of times a week at most.
i used quite a lot, i tried a new conditioner and my hair was very silky and flyaway,i had to hold it down, right now it looks as if i have really bad dandruff, dont want to go out. julie49
You sure it was hairspray....? You need one of those stripping shampoos, is it Elseve? - takes all the gunk off your hair, but you only use it a couple of times.
When I started working in a hair salon yonks ago, I remember the owner telling me you should use really cheap own brand shampoo because it doesn't contain all the plastic that the branded ones do (which make your hair shiney) so it migh be worth trying some cheap asda shampoo. And wash a rinse a couple of times with it.
My Mum always used to get excessive hairspray out of her hair (I think she used a lot!) by breaking a raw egg on to her head and rubbing it in. You need to make sure that you rinse it with COLD water though, or you risk ending up with scrambled egg in your hair!
i always used to use asda own brand extra firm hold hair spray and it brushed out very easily from dry hair, never had any problem. maybe it's because you washed it and it's turned it gluey. not quite sure what you can do now, maybe nip into a hairdressers and ask their advice.
