what is the correct name for the pile(s) of cuttings, clippings, mown grass, etc, from a garden? is it called garden waste, or what?

That nothing Trim, in Hants they take it away and compost it for you, then SELL it you back at £4.50 a bag!!!

In Somerset you're charged for green waste bin every year, then they sell the compost back to you.
