Whats the best way to get blood out clothes - I know I probably should have put them to soak as soon as the blood got on them but my daughter was too distressed. Thanks

Cold water and salt, failing that Vanish
soak in clod water - I usually put a bit of washing powder in too
bio washing liquid work a bit into the stain then was in it too
would suggest cold water rather than clod water!
I was always told cold water and salt as well..
Definitely cold water and salt - took all the blood out of my son's white judo suit - no mean feet and that had been dried in for hours as we had been up in A&E for a good while. I had to leave it for a good 24 hours.
I always pour the salt right onto the stain, after it's in the water.
Annie...surely mean feet were what caused the problem in the first place. I think you mean mean feat????
soak in cold water and salt, they use a stain remover, you may need to wash 2 or 3 times before the stain is gone completely, should be fine sher!.....
I usually soak in cold water and salt it seems to take ages, now I would use Vanish stain remover before putting it in the wash,
i dunno what powder you all use but i just bung mine in the washing machine and hey presto, when the cycle has finished, the blood has gone. Not being too graphic but having just had a baby, i had a few of my clothes with blood on and it all just came out on a normal (30 degree) wash
if you've put in hot water already stain will never come out. Always cold water x

I've put them in cold water with some salt - they are light colored clothes so I was concerned that they would stain. I'll chuck them in the wash in the morning and see how they come out.
lol bimbo - was typing in a hurry!!

Actually he was sitting on top of a safety mat that had been laid against the wall to cover a radiator and protect the kids from bashing into it. Some of the boys grabbed it and waggled it and he fell backwards behind it and split his head open just above his ear - so much blood at first that we thought he had ripped his ear off!! They managed to glue his head back together though and all the blood came out his suit too.
Stain Devils have one that specifically for blood.
Stain Devils are good!..........have used them for tar!.....worked well, so if you get the one for blood sher, maybe the best option!..........
soda water i watched a bar man do it after someone had a accident at a wedding
soak a cloth and wipe the blood off it works a treat
