Royal Mail have done it again ! left 5 small parcels from QVC on my doorstep, they must have crept up because I have two dogs that will bark at a pindrop ! I live on a main road on a bus route guaranteed if I had not been watching out every now and then the parcels would have "gone with the fairies".
Is there nothing we can do to stop this ? they seem to be a law unto themselves.

Just deny you have received the parcels, its their problem.

three of the items I did not like I have already posted them back ! only so it will be deleted from my credit card bill, otherwise I will have to pay for all and get credit on my card which I dont want.I was tempted though.

I have the opposite problem. I am in all the time as I look after my partner's 91 year old mother and I often find a note through the door saying "You weren't in...blah,blah.." My neighbour swears that the postman came to the door with the note already prepared, probably didn't want to lit in a box full of books!

Tigerlelly is correct. I walked round from the corner shop one day to see a mail van pull up outside my house, he got out, ran to the door and pushed a card through and was off like a shot. He did not knock or ring he just posted the card. I then had to travel into town next day and pay for parking to collect my parcel. If you complain the Royal Mail says "but they are not allowed to do that". Your answer of "But they do" falls on deaf ears.

I've had it happen to me also, they left m BT Homehub just sitting on the steps of a neighbours flat,it was in a clear plastic wrapper so everyone cold easily see what it was, lousy service IMO for what is one if not the most expensive delivery company out there.

Oh dear. We get such good service out here in the sticks. Postie writes us a little note on where she has hidden our parcels and pops it through the letter box. Quite honestly you can't see our house from the road and the front door isn't even at the front, but she still takes the time - bless her.

As said Dee, if they done that to me ( & I'm not a thief) I would deny that you have not seen the goods, the goods are to be signed for so how can they say you have received them?

So what, exactly, were you intending to do with 'items that you had failed to receive'........return them to sender?....oh, no...that's right......you can't, because you haven't received them.....

Mind you it would be tempting to hide them away or dump them somewhere and deny they were delivered. It would at least mean the postie concerned would have a hard time explaining.

Not all parcels require a signature, in fact many don't. I shop on line quite a bit and parcels, especially smaller ones very often don't require a signature.

Well, if you are barking mad enough to pay for goods and leave them sitting outside your house.........!?!
