My husband just did an online credit check for himself, and his credit rating on it is 2. Is this good or bad? it says it's on a 1-5 rating, and he got 2 stars. He had no ccj's listed on it.

Well usually the higher number is the best so I would say that 2 stars isn't particularly good out of of 5.
If you sign up to Experia you can view your report in full and see where the score has been lost. It is a subscription service but you can leave within a certain period without shelling out any money.
I signed up to experia last year only to find my rating was 0, I did go bankrupt a few years ago mind you so wasn't really that surprised, at least if someone steals my ID they won't have much luck obtaining credit.
Do a little 'minor' borrowing with your bank, etc. It will push your rating up.
Repay it all, and keep the term of payment tho!
