Can bath taps be fitted onto a bathroom basin sink ?

No they are a different size

Oh dear, thats what I thought, Honky tonk - I mistakenly ordered bath taps instead of basin taps, and even though they will still look great on the basin, I guessed the pipework may not match.
Honky-tonk is correct. There are very different sizes and can not be interchanged. You will have to get the right size for it.
As long as the taps can fit in the basin tapholes. It could work. You'd just need to change the 15mm tap connectors to 22m.
Basins vary, but I doubt if they would fit.
Assuming the taps fit and existing pipework is 25mm you would need something like this to replace the existing connector.
