Locking wheel nuts!
My dads peugeot has locking wheel nuts all round, the locking wheel nut socket for them has broken though so we have no way to get them off, we have been to plenty of local garages including peugeot who have all said that the nuts are not standard peugeot and they could not get them off. the way the nuts are though means we cannot get a locking wheel nut removal tool onto it (the tool with the reverse thread). The outer edge of the nut is very close to the inside of the recess which the nuts are set into which means we can get nothing around the outer edge. In the middle of the nut is a raised section which the original socket fits over. We are both completely out of ideas as of what to do, can anyone suggest anything as the tyres are nearly bold and need changing quick. TIA

We lost our wheel nut unlocking thing - you can get them drilled out. I think there is someone in town that can do it (but can't remember the name of the place and I don't know how much it will cost). Maybe if you put it on FB one of your friends will know. (For everyone else, myself and Benny live in the same place.)
thanx for both replies, kizzy, were you thinking of hereford tyres, i took mine there to get it done but ended up finding a new socket for the nuts as they are standard rover. we've already tried loads of places but they've all said that its gonna cost alot as they are such difficult studs to remove. :-( i think we can safely say the wheels aren't going to get nicked!
For those I'd make a new tool.

as they are bolts in that pic I'd be tempted to try drilling down the middle, tapping a left handed thread into the hole and then winding a left handed thread bolt into the tapped hole to undo it.

you'll need to hope they are not too tight, you'll be lucky to get much more than a m5 thread in there (and you'll need to be good with a drill to get it straight)
If you try it and it doesn't work the only option left is going to be drill out the whole lot and try not to damage the hole in the hub.
You'd only need a lathe, a pedestal drill and a welder to make a "makeshift" tool to get those out.

Hereford tires is now shut, or they where when we last went, if you can get done to the circular disk in the picture can you not tap an allen key in to the hole and try and undo it that way?and spray loads of wd40 on it. Shout out on facebook, see if anyone can help you out. that or try a spanner see if you can find one that fits. hope you sort it.
