Signs to discourage unwanted door knocking

Where can i get a sign to put by my front door that basically asks people NOT to knock or ring my bell? I mean those annoying salesmen & Jehova witnesses. sets my doggies off into a frenzy & its most unwelcome

I know the problem, none of those parasites respect signage, they probably see it as a challenge. I'll be interested to read what others think too!

Angus Council issue door stickers for their tenants. Says something like "We do not buy from doorstep sellers". Friend has one and it seems to work. Not sure if it would stop JWs though.

There are loads to order online and on Ebay. Just type dog signs into your search. I have been tempted to put one up saying: "Before ringing my door bell, please consider this: My 3 Irish Wolfhounds, each weighing around 160lbs, can make it to the gate in 1.5 seconds! Can you?"

There is always the most common one "No unsolicited callers!" which again, you can get on Ebay. Just type "door signs" into the search.

just print out a simple warning and laminate it... just say
"Do NOT knock if you are - then a list of whoever you don't want to call.
Doorstep sellers
Avon
Religious Canvassers
Charity canvassers
etc etc...

I dont believe it!!!!!!!!!!!! Just had a note through the letterbox inviting me to go to the local neighbourhood watch meeting..the person who delivered it has left the gate open......on it is a new sign asking people to keep gate shut because of dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was a child there was a big sign you could buy for the gate saying no canvassers, no circulars. I always wondered what it meant, perhaps that is what is happening. They don't know what it means or don't connect it with themselves.
