How often do you clean your oven?

honestly.... about 3 or 4 times a year - don't use it very often as I live alone. Have a combi oven which I use more often.

I think its called Oven Pride, Pizza. I just think of it as "the one with the bag". Brings it up lovely!!!

Yes you can use it on the inside too, B00. But yes, it involves time and effort. I was going to do it on Sunday, but having done both fridges, I'd lost the will to live. In future I'm not going to clean the fridge, just donate it and its contents to science.

Before I had my self clean oven, I was lax at cleaning it, but was forced to because of the horrid smells and smoke that came from it.

Doesn't anyone else get that problem?

My ex mother-in-law always used to say "A house may look clean, but once you look in the oven, the truth will out!". As a result, I keep it reasonable. I have to say though if I was gonna be on 'Come dine with me' I'd blitz it before the film crew arrived - there's been some minging ovens on that programme!

lol B00, its far less time and effort than any other cleaner I've used. However, having said that, a mate of mine has just started getting someone in to clean hers. That sounds like a proper plan.

I think sandyroe must live in my house - but I do clean the bottom six inches of the windows from time to time, where cat noses reach....

I have a self cleaning oven as well :-)

The glass to the doors needs cleaning but I have a screw in type...and it's a feel faff.

The tops get cleaned everyday..

must admit that I rarely clean the oven!.....hate the job, I do clean the hob regularly!........but the oven!........may go mad and do it in the Spring!....lol........

The gunge is the only thing holding my oven together - not overly concerned about it, the oven gets hot and the food doesn't actually touch any bits of it.

I clean glass front and racks, should really do inside properly as my oven smokes if I dont have the fan on

I don't really use it. Must be round early November time I last used it when I fancied a pizza! I used to rent off a former landlord I'd had previously when staying to work during uni summer holidays and would do a good clean of the house for him in return for cheaper rent - cleaning an oven after a year's use by a load of students...I think I earned that cheaper rent!

The ONLY time I ever cleaned my oven was when I left it in my home to move in with my then boyfriend (now husband) and was renting my own house out. So that is once in 16 years ;o/
