Does anyone know of a gadget that can be attached to a fridge door, so that it makes a noise when it is left open by mistake? It doesn't have to be hi-tech. Any ideas?

One idea would be to get at the lamp that comes on when the door is opened. Connect a buzzer to the terminals (could be left inside the fridge.)

Thanks TB. I knew there must be a way. I will have to have a bit of a think, but sure I can do that.

Nor did I!
I actually have a fridge alarm which beeps when the door has been opened for a certain amount of time. It's very basic and in the shape of an apple. I think it senses light and beeps once it has been exposed to light for about a minute. I just leave it inside the fridge. I think I bought it from Lakelands a few years ago. The only thing is it tends to beep too soon when I haven't finished rummaging in the fridge but all I do is shut the door and re-open it to give me a bit more time.

scrummy - thanks. I live just down the road from Lakeland HQ. I will pop in there and have a look. Cheers.
Ten: they don't sell it anymore as I've just checked their website. I got mine a few years ago and it's still working! Can you try Ebay? Search for fridge alarm?
