We bought a children's swimming pool that can be inflated/deflated to fit in our back garden. Is there anything we can lay under it so it doesn't ruin our garden turf/green since it'll be pretty heavy on the garden turf once there's water in it?

Wow that's the longest title I've ever seen!!  :-)

To answer your question - it's less to do with weight & more to do with the fact that you'll be cutting off the light from your turf.  I'm afraid after a couple of days the grass underneath will be going yellow & after a long stretch it could even die.  Sorry, but that's the price of fun!!

Agree totally with Robinia.   It was amazing to see that the grass died off in the course of a weekend and it took several months for it to come back.  That's one reason that caravan site owners don't like groundsheets in awnings.
