Parentals have tootled off to Newcastle, I'm sitting at home chores done, Hallowe'en porch decorated, laundry drying watched/ing TV but now slightly at a loss...whats everybody else upto this fine(ish) afternoon?

I've been pottering about in the gardenfor a couple of hours. Just come in and made myself a hot chocolate and switched on the laptop. I have half an hour before I begin to make a beef casserole for tea.

i have had a lie-in after four days of overtime (a very unsettled psych ward.....only nurse on duty and short staffed) with a headache; my pain medication not working; and am behind in my ou msc course. not a great day - if i get any trick or treaters, i may just stick them in my basement and eat them at leisure :-)

It's tomorrow for Hallowe'en icg - do you get them on other days in your neck of the woods? Could be a bit like carol singing. They knock on the door sing "We wish you a merry Christmas" which seems to be the only carol they know, although it is hardly that, and hold out their hand for an offering. I make them sing something else before they get anything from me. Incidentally, I love Hallowe'en and am all prepared with crisps and lollies. The outfits are great.

yup....apparently had some chavs last night who just stuck their hands out at mr kicker.....he told them to sod off and he knew where they lived if they tried anything.....they soon scarpered! no costumes or anything; just demanding!!!!!

aww no Boo...come round ours are up and the house is quite toasty.
It was nice here Tilly until about 10mins ago just got a wee bitty cloudy.
I'm not too bad Sibton, still stuck in thinking mode :/
We didn't really do trick or treaters when we lived down the road as a lot of the kids were a lot older and just wanted stuff, now we live in an area with loads of young kids we participate. Still never been trick or treating though :( I don't think we have ever had carol singers Starbuck :(
I hate waiting for deliveries Daffy..hope you don't have to wait much longer

I hate having colds, the last one I had was a stinker, but I shall try avoid having one, thought I was coming down with one the other day but didn't amount to much. More than welcome now get those feet up and a good hot cuppa in you :)
