Washing Fake Suede Furry Boots

Hi, I have some little boots from Primark, only a fiver. They are fake soft suede type material on the outside and fake furry type stuff on the inside.

Due to the crap wet weather they got quite wet and have started to get that damp sweaty yukky smell.

Am debating whether they would survive a gentle washing machine cycle on a 39 min 40 degree wash or even a delicates one but don't want to risk ruining them.

Not sure just a good scrub inside would clean them properly.

Would be grateful if anyone has any ideas, thank you :)

Argh that should be 30 min, sorry, on phone.
can you pop them in on a lower temperature just to be careful?
As they only cost a fiver I would put them in the washer, if they get ruined you haven't lost much.
Suggest you use carpet shampoo on the outside - even better if it was a dry type. Febreze or something similar on the inside. Stuff with newspaper and allow to dry not too close to a radiator. But be prepared to buy some more in the sales!

Thanks all. Tried febreze, air freshener and newspaper. Will try a low wash with some antibacterial handwash in too for good measure. At least they won't be expensive to.replace :) Will let you know how they turn out!
I would do them on a handwash program and use woollen washing detergent - should be ok.
I would try the handwash cycle also. They are most likely made from polycotton or acrylic-so will be fine.

Thanks, will try that then :) Have just put some antibacterial handwash in them and doing my main washing first to get that out of the way, don't want them to smell the tumble drier out first in case it doesn't work!

Monday downpours were their downdoing, got soaked going to the hospital then to the docs then back to the hospital (got splashed by a tidalwave from a puddle - waist height :() and then had to sit with them wet for hours until I could get home to dry them out.

Will stick them in in a bit, fingers crossed :)
