Power Cut

Electric went off about 30 minutes ago, ceiling lights have come on again but very dim.
I'm on a laptop which is working on mains supply.
Street lighting is still off and my oven made a very strange noise.
Very odd, I'm in Wigan.

Very, very odd. Ours went off about an hour ago. I'm in Stockton, near Middlesbrough

i would certainly be making tea/coffee in a flask, getting torch and batteries etc. candles if you have them, lighter/matches and make a hot water bottle if your heating is electric. just in case.......x

Still very dim and I have put the kettle on but it seems to be taking ages.
The lighting is dim, not me lol.

Ours went off for over 12 hours yesterday and the only gas we have is the fire, so fill every flask you have with boiling water! We didn't get the chance here in Exeter. I was resorted to find old camping stove to try and get some hot food, i.e. I made an omelette, but at least it worked. Hope its back on soon.
